Texel is a massive collaborative-multiplayer pixel canvas where users (players) use in-game currency to "buy" ownership of pixels, with a possibility to earn back more of said currency once another player re-buys the same pixel. The concept is loosely based on an unreleased Web3 game with the same idea.
In-game currency is not currently backed by real (Fiat) money. Read more in the FAQ and Risk Disclosure section.
No. The amount you paid has likely already been deposited into another user's account. Unless by their consent or coordination, this amount will remain there until another user buys those same pixels.
Slippage is the difference between the price estimate you are given when you decide to execute a transaction and the real price when the transaction actually occurs. Since transactions are generally fast, slippage is normally small (< 1%), however, we also provide tools to limit the impact of slippage, such as automatically aborting the transaction if the price raises more than a specified margin.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask us in the contact us section.
